Abstract

Background:  Nano robotics is a new invention or development in technology which uses specific peculiar motility or migration mechanisms to travel through human tissues with navigational precision. This article specifies its usage and implementation in dentistry as a diagnostic material and filler material in the restorative cements used in dentistry. Its role in delivery of anaesthesia, impression materials, dental biofilms and interdental floss has been well specified. Reconstructive dental nanorobots, microscopes and anti-microbial agents using native indigenous biological organic materials have been precisely described. Further usage in tooth repair, orthodontic tooth sensitivity, implant fabrication, dentifrice and its role of detection and diagnosis of oral cancer has been specified.
