Comparative Evaluation of Shear Bond Strength of MetalCeramic Interface Developed with Two Techniques Namely, The Conventional Technique and 3-C Bond Application

Abstract


Background:  The purpose of this study is to evaluate the shear bond strength of metal-ceramic interface      developed with two techniques namely, the conventional technique and 3-C bond application. To evaluate the shear bond strength at the metal-ceramic interface after application of 3-C bond with and without subjecting the test specimens to oxidation. To analyse fracture at metal-3-C bond- ceramic interface under scanning electron microscope for one specimen each from the three groups namely; Conventional 3-C bond (with oxidation), and 3-C bond (without oxidation).
