Abstract

Background:  Endodontic surgery has now evolved into endodontic microsurgery. By using state-of-the-art equipment, instruments and materials that match biological concepts with clinical practice, we believe that microsurgical approaches produce more predictable outcome in the healing of the periapical lesions of endodontic origin. In this review article, we aim to provide the most current concepts, techniques, various microsurgical instruments, dental operating microscope and materials required in endodontic microsurgery.
