Abstract

The purpose of this review is to shed light on the use of guided technology and digital planning in endodontics. Recently, a new strategy for handling complex situations has arisen called guided endodontics, which refers to computer-aided static and dynamic navigation technology. The new technology of guided endodontics is still developing. Technology advancements and scientific advancements have improved the predictability of therapeutic procedure outcomes. The accurate representation of interior anatomy made possible by the development of conebeam computed tomography equipment and software linked to digital tools for 3D modeling and printing. It is used in a variety of procedures, including accessing and identifying root canals in teeth with pulp canal obliteration, performing endodontic microsurgery, and removing glass fiber posts during endodontic retreatment. Technology advancements and scientific advancements have made it possible to forecast therapeutic procedure outcomes more accurately. The use of guided endodontics has some benefits over more traditional clinical techniques, including quicker clinical visits, better treatments, and improved patient comfort. This narrative review seeks to update readers on the current state of guided endodontics and to point out pertinent research areas that may help this technology continue to advance.
