Background: The oral cavity presents with a variety of pathological lesions ranging from benign to malignant. Many of the lesions may become potentially fatal if they are undiagnosed or misdiagnosed in their early stages. Pemphigus vulgaris is an autoimmune vesiculobullous lesion which is misdiagnosed upon several times in its initial stages leading to failure in providing proper treatment. Hence, it is necessary to be familiar with clinical & radiographic features, histopathological findings, immunofluorescence techniques for ruling out differential diagnosis. Here we present a case report of pemphigus vulgaris with emphasis on various intraepithelial vesiculobullous lesions.
Keywords: Intraepithelial Vesiculobullous Lesions, oral pathology, dentistry.
