Abstract

Background:  Pulp is the heart of the tooth and every attempt should be made to restore its heartbeats. Advancements in the knowledge of pulpal responses and material science, has contributed significantly to the development of range of materials, to be used for vital pulp therapy. Selection of an ideal material for dentinpulp protection may be very confusing. The aim of this review is to summarize various vital pulp therapy materials currently available with their advantages and short comings.
